A DJ and producer with a strong presence in the national clubbing scene, RIOT was one of the driving forces behind the international success of Buraka Som Sistema and a pioneer of the zouk bass movement. Following the end of the group he shared with Branko, Blaya, Kalaf and Conductor, Rui Pité now dedicates his time to working as a producer under his own name, collaborating with his new band Bateu Matou, performing solo, and creating innovative side projects.
